ENSEMBLE STUDIOS PRESENTATION SKILLS COURSE A dynamic 2-Day Course* providing a practical and fun approach to making successful presentations – ie, presentations that get your message across with maximum impact! Training includes include practical demonstrations, group exercises and the opportunity for each participant to make 5 presentations. Individual feedback provided. On request, each participant will receive a video of their final presentation and a personal detailed report, outlining their strengths and weaknesses and providing individualised tips on how to improve their performance. Participants are provided with a manual, which – used as a tool, in conjunction with practical training and continued practice and experimentation – can provide a fool-proof approach to what is often the most daunting and yet the most exhilarating task any manager or business person is asked to perform. Suitable for first-time presenters, as well as old-hands who feel in need of a refresher to sharpen their skills and re-energise lack-lustre performances. The focus is on THE AUDIENCE and how YOU, as the presenter, can change or influence them – mentally and emotionally – in a specific, desired direction. The course emphasises the importance of preparation – of the material AND yourself, as the presenter. Exercises to help you prepare as the presenter are drawn from techniques taught in the Ensemble Studios professional acting course. These techniques address the physical, mental and emotional factors that make the difference between an “ok” performance and a “knock-out” performance. The course focuses on personal development for each participant as well as providing a way of structuring any presentation for maximum impact. *The course is ideally run as a 2-Day workshop but can be provided in an abbreviated form over a single day. The 2-Day format is preferable, as it provides the opportunity for “soak” time between sessions and also provides more opportunities for practice in front of an audience (ie, 5 presentations by each participant, as against 2-3 presentations in a 1-Day format). TRAINER: The trainer is Allan Chapple, a graduate of the Ensemble Acting Studios, who has 16 years’ experience training presentation skills and on-camera interview techniques to professional business people and politicians. (CV available on request) WHERE: For corporate groups, training can take place in the workplace. For individuals wishing to participate in a non-business setting, workshops will be held at the lower North Shore premises of the Ensemble Acting Studios. WHEN: Corporate training sessions can be arranged on weekdays or weekends, to suit. Non-corporate workshops will be scheduled in response to demand, at times to suit participants.
