The Ensemble Acting Studios is the longest-running private acting school in Australia. It was founded in 1956 by Hayes Gordon AO OBE and is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. It is one of the few acting schools that offers comprehensive professional training to be an actor NOW AVAILABLE AS INDIVIDUAL MODULES.
The Studios is affiliated with the Ensemble Theatre at Milson’s Point, Sydney, where the weekly theory classes for the professional acting course are held.

The Studios has been the training ground for many of Australia’s leading actors, including Lorraine Bayly, Jack Thompson, Reg Livermore, Max Cullen, Henri Szeps, Kate Raison, Tony Martin, Dee Smart, David Field and many more. It has also trained some of Australia’s finest directors, producers, playwrights and critics.
