2006 Graduate Ivy Mak hasn’t stopped working…. stage, film, radio!
Ivy was recently seen by Sydney Film Festival goers in Tony Ayres’ film The Home Song Stories, with Joan Chen. Prior to that she could be heard on Radio National in a drama called Fragments of Hong Kong by Ensemble graduate Katherine Thomson (http://www.abc.net.au/rn/airplay/default.htm). In March she starred in Eve Enslers’ The Vagina Monologues at The Sydney Theatre, together with fellow graduates Margaret McManus and Jess Hobeck. In her spare time, she wrote, directed, produced and starred in a short film Why Ula La is so Gosh Darn Cute!, with recent graduate Chris Atrill. The film was the first Australian film ever screened at New York’s First Sundays Comedy Festival (check it out on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuwtoVHoRSA).
