Krass Journal I
Krass Journal is a biannual independent magazine from Australia focusing on politics, philosophy, art and literature.
Editors| Tess Martin and Sanja Grozdanić
Krass identifies itself as ‘independent, ambitious, gracefully impolite’. The description fits. The idea of the publication seems indeed to stir your emotions and you begin to understand that the minute you lay eyes on a copy of the magazine. The bold typography and psychedelic colours in print suggest strong opinions that don’t want you to simply submit. It is rebellious and will ask more of your attention.
Features interviews with South African photographer Henrik Purienne, Australian human rights lawyer Julian Burnside, Melbourne’s supremely talented future soul quartet Hiatus Kaiyote, radical Beijing artist Ren Hang, a Catalan bank robber and more.
